Equinor Data Center Capacity Expansion & Backup Modernization
I led a strategic data center modernization initiative at Equinor, increasing processing and storage capacity by 30% while strengthening the organization’s backup and recovery capabilities through the replacement of the Tape Library infrastructure.
I coordinated cross-functional teams across Brazil and Norway, including storage and server specialists, Data Managers, and IBM partner VSData. I managed project planning, technical dependencies, implementation phases, vendor coordination, risk management, and business communications.
The project delivered a more scalable, resilient, and future-ready data center environment, supporting growing business demand while improving operational reliability and long-term data protection
SHV Energy Cloud File Services Transformation
I led the migration of file servers across SHV Energy’s Brazilian operations to a secure, cloud-based collaboration environment using SharePoint and OneDrive.
I defined a phased migration strategy by classifying data according to usage patterns: cold data was moved to lower-cost cloud storage, while active business data was transitioned to SharePoint and OneDrive for secure access, collaboration, and improved user experience.
The initiative achieved the full decommissioning of on-premises file servers, reducing CAPEX, infrastructure, backup, maintenance, and operational costs. It also eliminated key single points of failure, strengthened data security, and improved business continuity.
By coordinating multidisciplinary teams throughout the program, I helped deliver a successful transformation that became a reference case for other SHV Energy business units worldwide.
PGS HPC Data Center Network Transformation: 10× Performance Upgrade
I led a complex network modernization project for the PGS High-Performance Computing (HPC) data center, replacing the legacy core switch infrastructure and 32 top-of-rack switches to deliver a major increase in network performance and scalability.
The project upgraded the environment from 1 Gbps Ethernet to 10 Gbps fiber connectivity—a 10× increase in bandwidth—and replaced legacy UTP cabling with fiber-optic infrastructure. The scope also included core switch port configuration top-of-rack switch integration, storage connectivity, validation activities, and coordinated cutover planning.
I coordinated network, infrastructure, local support, storage, and senior management stakeholders to execute the migration within a single planned weekend maintenance window. The project was completed successfully, on schedule, with controlled downtime and without compromising the stability of the HPC environment.
Key outcomes: 10× network bandwidth, 32 top-of-rack switches replaced, fiber-based connectivity, improved storage communication, stronger infrastructure resilience, and a scalable foundation for HPC workloads and future data center growth.
International Volleyball Arena Connectivity: Building a High-Performance Digital Venue
I led the end-to-end delivery of network and internet infrastructure for an international volleyball event in Itapema, supporting an arena with approximately 5,000 spectators and the demanding operational requirements of the FIVB event organization.
I coordinated local technology partners to provide corporate Wi-Fi, Cat 6 structured cabling, internet connectivity, and on-site network services. The solution included strategically distributed wireless access points throughout the arena, dedicated Wi-Fi for the VIP area, segregated networks for referees, and secure connectivity for the Italian video challenge system.
I aligned international teams, local operations, suppliers, and event stakeholders to deliver the requested infrastructure within the event timeline. The project enabled reliable connectivity for competition operations, officials, guests, and spectators—helping create a seamless, high-quality experience for a globally visible sporting event.
Multiplan Cybersecurity Transformation: Enterprise XDR and Microsoft Security Integration
I led a strategic cybersecurity transformation at Multiplan, replacing the legacy Trend Micro antivirus platform with a unified Microsoft security ecosystem based on Microsoft 365 E5 capabilities, including Microsoft Defender XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps, and Microsoft Sentinel.
I coordinated the full delivery ecosystem, bringing together Multiplan’s internal technical teams, Cloud Target—the implementation consultancy—and IT-EAM, the partner responsible for the ongoing operation of the Managed Security Service (MSS) and XDR environment after project completion.
Through structured technical workshops and phased implementation waves, I helped align architecture, security policies, operational requirements, ownership, and transition activities. The project included the implementation of Privileged Identity Management (PIM) to strengthen privileged-access controls, as well as advanced protection policies for endpoints, servers, identities, cloud applications, and email collaboration services.
The initiative integrated Multiplan’s Microsoft environment into a more centralized, intelligent, and scalable security operation—improving threat visibility, strengthening identity protection, reducing security blind spots, and establishing a robust foundation for continuous monitoring and incident response.
Key outcomes: unified Microsoft security stack, strengthened privileged-access governance, enhanced endpoint and server protection, advanced email and cloud application security, centralized threat detection, and a structured handover to the managed MSS/XDR operation.
